Valhalla Knights 2 Update Detailed

Marvelous Entertainment's announcement last free psp games week of Valhalla Knights 2: Battle Stance was just a bit on the mysterious side, with no solid details on the game. Those details came today with a major update to the game's official site and a few new screenshots.



Battle Stance offers up some major differences to Valhalla Knights 2. Most notably, the game has a new battle system, known as the "Active Action Battle" system. As part of this system, the battle party count has been dropped from six to four, and you can free psp games now team all your characters together for a simultaneous attack.



Outside of battle, you'll find some neat little features that make the game more user friendly. Gate Crystals can now be found around the world and help you instantly transport to past regions of play. The game also has improved status screens and an updated tutorial mode.

Atlus Partners with Sting

March 11, 2009 - The PS2 seems to be coming into its own with a strong lineup for 2009, especially with the recent announcement of PS2 versions of Motorstorm, LittleBigPlanet, Assassin's Creed and Rock Band. However, a senior member of SCEE admitted that Sony didn't pay nearly as much attention to the portable as it should have. In an interview with gamesIndustry.biz , Ray Maguire, senior VP and MD for the UK, Ireland and Nordic region, stated that the system lost ground because of the company's focus on its consoles. "It has been, yes. It was slightly under-supported, mainly because a lot of the energy was going into stuff we're doing for PlayStation 3. There was an added complication in that the UMD model wasn't brilliant for third parties, either," Maguire said. psp demos 



However, he did mention that because of the growth of the platform, he thinks that more people will look at the PS2 as a viable platform this year. "The PS2 has become one of the best-selling formats ever, and I think people are seeing that they need to get back into it. I think we had a bit of a barren year last year, and this year we seem to have a bumper crop." When asked about the future of Games on the PS2 and the UMD format in particular, Maguire was still positive on the small discs, although he felt that downloadable titles would play a larger role in the system's future. March 10, 2009 - Atlus and Sting announced in psp demos Japan today the start of a publishing partnership that will see Atlus serve as exclusive publisher of Sting-developed games.



Sting makes Games like Yggdra Union, Riviera, and Dokapon. These were already released in America through Atlus, but the new agreement appears to be more formal, with Atlus handling publishing duties both in Japan and abroad.



In addition to the publishing deal, a statement from Atlus revealed that the company is looking into having Sting handle development of some games based off its properties.



As a result of this deal, Atlus said that it expects a 50% increase in software sales for the coming term.

Set for release this summer is Tales of VS, a fighting game featuring characters from past Tales games. The game offers fights for four characters simultaneously, although there's no word just yet on four player simultaneous play. Confirmed characters include Vesperia's Yuri, Hearts' Shing, Symphonia Dawn of the New World's Richter, and Abyss' Luke.

PSP sales to rise 15 per cent in the coming year

It seems a study of 1,130 British men conducted by 'the UK's only specialist PS3 price comparison site' PS3pricecompare.co.uk has found that two-thirds would rather play video games than have sex.



To be fair to the UK's male population, the study was conducted free psp game on a PS3 site, and the damning figure only applies to new games.
